Join the Cambridge Society of Washington DC for an evening with Simon Wilson (Downing, 1987), BBC Bureau Chief for the Americas. The evening will consist of a dinner at the Elephant & Castle Pub, followed by remarks from Simon Wilson, and the opportunity to ask questions. All are welcome (even those who are not members of the Society or a Cambridge College)!

Simon Wilson is currently the BBC Bureau Chief for the Americas. Since 2008, he has been responsible for covering news from the Western Hemisphere for the world’s most prestigious international news institution. From 2001 – 2007, he was stationed in the Middle East, based out of Jerusalem, including as BBC Bureau Chief for the Middle East. Prior to that Simon worked as a Europe producer for the BBC. In his 23 year BBC career, he has covered first-hand the Israel-Palestinian conflict, the Iraq war, the Balkans conflicts and the Haiti earthquake, reporting from some of the world’s most dangerous conflict and disaster zones.
