Drinks & Messiah Sing-Along at the Kennedy Center
Cantab DC Informal Holiday Caroling

Have you always wanted to celebrate the Christmas season with caroling and Christmas cheer? This December 23 you can! A Cambridge group will be heading to the Kennedy Center for the sing-along of Handel's Messiah. It is easily one of Washington's most enjoyable holiday events. Guest conductor Barry Hemphill will lead the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, a 200-voice choir, professional soloists, and a delighted audience in a "sing-along" of Handel's beloved masterpiece.

At 3:30pm, we will commence with casual drinks at Peacock Alley in the Willard Hotel (the same location as our 'First Thursday Drinks' at 1401 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20004). Around 5 pm, we will take taxis to the Kennedy Center to await the sing-along of Handel's Messiah. We will be bringing hot food while enduring, with joy of course, the chilly Potomac gusts. Entrance is first come first served, and the Kenedy Center will begin distributing tickets starting 6 pm. Please contact Riddhi Sohan Dasgupta at rdasgupta@cantab.net in advance if you are interested in attending (M: 703-927-1148, for the day of the event).

Members and their guests (of all ages) are welcome. See you then!
