Cantab DC National Day of Service Endeavor: Food For All
Do you want to help make a difference to local DC communities?

Dear Cantabrigians, want to help make a difference to the DC local communities? Saturday, January 19 is the National Day of Service. It is also a day we might pause, take heed and give some of our time to others.

The Cambridge Society of Washington, DC, will spend the morning volunteering at Food For All ( starting at 9 am. We will pack boxes of groceries and then deliver them to Food For All patrons. The packing is expected to take between 45 minutes to an 1 hour. Volunteers with wheels are assigned routes. Other volunteers can be navigators and helpers on routes. Routes normally contain between 6-8 deliveries & generally take about 1-2 hours.

Date and time: Saturday January 19, 2013 - 9 AM

Location: Universalist National Memorial Church, 1810 16th St (corner of 16th and S St) NW - not too far from the U Street Metro

*** Please enter through the REAR Entrance & Please wear some distinct Cantab clothes/gear so we might locate each other! ***

For informal RSVP purposes, please do let me know - (It would be a thoughtful gesture to give FFA a ballpark figure concerning the number of volunteers). Moreover, if I can assist with anything as the 19th approaches, my number is @ 703 927 1148.

The hope is to have some LUNCH together after our collective efforts at the Day of Service event. Perhaps at a British/Continental Pub.
